Helping Stage Hand

We have a new program at Dangerous Theatre called the Helping Stage Hand. This means that when you come see a play not only will you have a fabulous night of entertainment, but you can help whatever favorite group or cause you like to support. The size of the group or organization does not matter. Do you support you child's PTA at school, or the Dumb Friends League, or even a sports team that might like to buy new uniforms or equipment. Just forward this along to anyone you feel may benefit from an easy form of fund raising.

Why have this program?

Small theatres, such as Dangerous Theatre, usually have zilch in the way of a marketing budget. This program is meant to be a way to promote the theatre and raise money for any group or organization that counts on fund raising in their budgets.

I am willing to donate $1.00 for every full price ticket purchased when the patron mentions at the door that they are there to support "any registered group/organization".

For the 2010-11 season the regular ticket price is $10.00, except on Sunday matinees and then it is $15.00. (It is more on Sundays because seating is cabaret style and I serve appetizers, included in the ticket price.)

I have a rather unusual theatre. It is located right off I25 & 6th Ave - close to downtown. Plenty of free parking in the lot outside the door.  I seat up to 50 people. I have a very nice social area with comfy chairs and sofas.  I *INCLUDE* refreshments in the ticket price - a fridge stocked with cold soft drinks, coffee, tea, hot cocoa and bagged munchies. Folks are welcome to bring beer or wine - I have wine glasses and a cork screw at the theatre.

What do I do to facilitate this..

~ I provide a full write up of each production before it opens to pass along to your supporters.
~ I will also provide a poster that can be posted wherever staff or supporters can see it.
~ I send out theatre announcements through Constant Contact which you can then forward as you see fit.

What do you do to facilitate this...

~ You promote the theatre and production to your supporters in any way you can.
~ suggestions include:

* including a link to the theatre on your website
* including information and a link to the theatre on any electronic newsletters you send out
* including the information on any printed newsletters you send
* any other way you can think of

An additional option is to book a private performance for your group on a Thursday night (or another night or Sunday) where you can then receive %50 of the ticket sales for that performance. You are also encouraged to have other fund raising opportunities at these performances such as a raffle or auction. I also provide a spread of appetizers and hot food at these events, free of charge. These events are also included on the Dangerous Theatre website for all to see. You receive the check at the end of the evening.

How to sign up to be part of the program...

It is pretty simple.  I need the following information sent to me to get you started in the program.

Name of the Organization to be benefited
Name of the contact person to send all production information to
email address of contact person
phone number of the contact person
A brief description of how you plan to promote the theatre
Who to make the check out.
An address to send it to.

At the end of each production I then send a check including a list of all the names of the people who attended to support that group/organization.
