Second Weekend in September

Colorado Premier!

Written by Andy Black ~ Directed by Erik Mindykowski

September 10 - October 9, 2010

Fridays & Saturdays at 7:00

Tickets $10.00

Michael and David get together after an drunken encounter that leads to a 20 year relationship that takes place one weekend a year.  Michael is a married man with a couple of kids when he meets David, a college student, while at a convention. They agree to meet again every year when Michael attends his convention. Second Weekend in September is unique in the fact that it debunks the stereotypes and clichés so often used to portray the gay lifestyle . It is about something more intense and more meaningful when temptation is all around. Something more real. During the course of 20 years this story follows their once-yearly fiery romance with emotions flying one moment then contained and subdue another. In a meek hotel room in the outskirts of Seattle this story reveals two peoples secret life of passion, misery and the fight to not succumb to the norm that society tells them they have to live by. Written by playwright Andrew Black, the dialog flows and holds you eagerly anticipating the words and actions that come next. You will quickly be transformed into the lives of these two and before you realize it you are a part of their world.
